ONLINE COURSE PROGRAM
In preparation for the World Youth Peace Summit, participants will be required to prepare a draft of a Pathways to Peace project. Some Pathways to Peace initiatives will focus on such large scale issues as poverty, nuclear proliferation and the environment. Others will be community-based, social entrepreneurship programs involving some project that fosters peace, such as juvenile justice, conflict resolution, non-violence, youth sports programs, mentoring and civil rights.
The World Youth Peace Summit curriculum has the depth of information comparable to coursework in higher education. Consult your college or university to find out what is required to obtain college credit for this four day program.
With the support of the Center for Social Entrepreneurship (CSE), the entire curriculum will be available online to WYPS members after the conclusion of the Summit. The CSE will offer continued support of Summit participants’ Pathways to Peace initiatives.
